John was born in Ohio, raised near New Orleans, Louisiana and Houston, Texas. He attended college at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma before moving to the Lowcountry in 1997. He worked in education as a band director for over 10 years in South Carolina. The past year and a half was spent working with troubled youth at a private boarding school in the mountains of North Carolina. John is now relocating with his family back to the Lowcountry to become a part of the Richardson Group.

John and his beautiful wife have two wonderful children. Besides being active in real estate, John is a musician, performing on the island and surrounding areas for various events. He loves spending time with his family, golf, being on the water, and being active in their church activities.
