Title (Max 100 Characters)
As of the 5am advisory, Hurricane Irene moving into the Turks and Caicos. Winds are up to 110 mph and the pressure continues to fall. Most of the computer models are now suggesting that Irene will be impacted by an upper level trough setting up over the east coast. This is expected to keep the storm east of our area and the official track from the National Hurricance Center continues to shift to the east as well. Landfall is now expected near the Outer Banks of North Carolina Saturday night as a category 2 or 3 hurricane. The storm still is a few days away and the track is not set in stone just yet. Everybody should continue to monitor the progress of Irene this week and be ready to take action if needed.
