Heritage's Arnie Burdick dies
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC)- Arnie Burdick, the longtime Tournament Information Director for Hilton Head Island's PGA TOUR event and sports journalist, died Tuesday afternoon at Hilton Head Regional Medical Center. He was 92.
Burdick worked his 29th Heritage this past spring.
In 2004, at the suggestion of local radio reporter Roger Clark, the Arnie Burdick Media Award, which is a prize of thick, black glasses just like Burdick use to wear, was established, according to the Heritage.
