Wind gusts could hit 45 mph

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC)- A wind advisory remains in effect for several counties in Georgia and South Carolina.

The advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. for southeast South Carolina and Georgia.

The advisor includes these Georgia counties: Bryan, Effingham, Liberty, Bulloch, Screven, Candler, Evans, Tattnall, Appling, Bacon, Wayne, Glynn, Long, McIntosh and Ware. It also includes these South Carolina counties: Hampton, Jasper and Beaufort.

Winds from the southwest are expected to be 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph, according to the National Weather Service. Winds on taller bridges could be stronger.

Drivers in high-profile vehicles such as vans, campers, trailers should be alert for sudden gusts of wind, the NWS warns.

The NWS recommends securing outdoor objects that could blow away.
