'Salute Our Troops' Jeep Tour to recognize Hilton Head military heroes | Community Spirit

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) - The “Salute Our Troops” fully-refurbished 1952 Willys CJ-3 Jeep will travel through Hilton Head this weekend to raise awareness and donations for the Salute Our Troops campaign and recognize local military heroes.

Salute Our Troops has raised more than $1.35 million for the USO, USO of North Carolina, Wounded Warrior Project and state-based military support organizations since it launched in Myrtle Beach two months ago and is continuing to collect donations and support through Labor Day.

Saturday, Aug. 13

• 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.:  1 Gumtree Road Hilton Head Island
• 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.:  85 Pope Avenue Hilton Head Island

Sunday, Aug. 14

• 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.:  1610 Fording Island Road Hilton Head Island
• 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.:  6 Palmetto Bay Road Hilton Head Island
